Description du poste

Discover the new Ritchie Bros.

When you join Ritchie Bros., you’ll be part of a diverse, global team that’s focused on delivering great customer experiences. Our culture is centered around people and guided by our core values of Integrity, Unity and Vision. If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and are passionate about making a difference, we invite you to join our growing team.

To ensure perfect execution of each auction we are looking for an Auction Coordinator in Moerdijk (NL).

The Opportunity:

As the Auction Coordinator, you will work with the team to produce seven quality auctions per year at our Moerdijk site under strict deadlines. You possess the ability to pull and analyze previous auction results from our proprietary databases to construct and maintain quality auctions. This requires pricing, scheduling, and monitoring all items to ensure all unit information is accurate. You will be responsible for training, leading, managing and supporting a team of 3-5 Equipment Inspectors. In this role you’ll:

  • Serve as a lead in the communication, coordination and support to all internal departments (e.g. office, yard, sales, etc.) related to the all auction processes and the Detailed Equipment Information (DEI) Program.
  • Manage the information collection and verification processes (e.g. equipment year, sequencing, equipment pricing, etc.)
  • Work in conjunction with the Equipment Inspector to assess equipment and compose photos for the DEI Program.
  • Prepare advertising material for upcoming sales (e.g. brochure and catalogue)
  • Responsible for resolving equipment contract and DEI related issues including any unresolved issues that occur on sale day.
  • Assist the Customer Service Manager (CSM) with sale day and post sale duties, customer service and administrative support as required.
  • Support the local operations team with sale day duties (e.g. proxy bids, eClerking, bid catching, etc.).

Here is what you bring:

This position is ideal for someone who is looking for a coordinator role, but who would also like working outside, away from a desk. You are a resourceful, “think-on-your feet” person with drive, initiative, and a real commitment to getting the job done. You are highly capable of meeting strict deadlines in a high-pressure, ever-changing environment. Highly motivated, goal-oriented, self-directed, energetic and a can-do attitude defines you as a person. Furthermore, you have:

  • You have experience in auctions, equipment inspections, inventory and appraisals and/or inventory control management
  • Proficiency using technology such as computers / digital cameras and able to learn new programs quickly
  • An aptitude for data/numbers and experience creating and working with spreadsheets.
  • Professional level English and Dutch

It’s important to note that:

  • You'll maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • This is not an “8:00AM to 5:00PM” job. As an event-driven company, overtime is a major part of what we do.
  • You must be able to climb on top of and under large construction equipment.

What We Offer
Our success is built on the drive and dedication of our people. As we grow around the globe, there will be many opportunities to advance your career – we’ve proven this throughout our 60+ years in business. And, we'll take care of you along the way. Here’s how:

  • Permanent employment contract
  • Competitive base salary + overtime + 26 vacation days
  • Pension plan
  • Health insurance
  • Commuting allowance
