Description du poste

The Head of Remarketing for IAA APAC oversees the remarketing and transport teams, responsible for the remarketing processes and sale of salvage vehicles, motorcycles, and industrial items located at IAA facilities across Australia and New Zealand.

This role’s primary focus is to foster a cohesive, high-performing remarketing team that prioritizes efficient asset processing and meets key performance indicators (KPIs). Key KPIs include maximizing vehicle return, reducing days to sale, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

This position also involves closely managing the division’s budget and implementing a continuous improvement approach to drive ongoing enhancements in KPI performance and customer satisfaction.

Effective relationship management with internal stakeholders, senior insurance representatives, and key professionals in the salvage industry is essential to succeed in this role and to uphold IAA’s standards for client experience and customer service.

Regularly reporting on KPI achievements and market insights is another critical responsibility, ensuring that IAA products remain best-in-class and responsive to the evolving needs of our customers.
 

Responsabilités

  • Develop and implement market-leading remarketing strategies to enhance customer experience and grow the buyer base.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery by building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and customers.
  • Continuously improve processes and efficiencies within the team, setting KPIs for remarketing team leaders to ensure that salvage sites and regional partner facilities meet commitments.
  • Ensure the team is focused on preparing sale stock to the highest standards, maximizing the potential return on assets.
  • Address complex issues (e.g., WOVR, encumbrances, stolen status, denied claims) to facilitate efficient processing of customer assets for sale.
  • Oversee the remarketing team’s provision of accurate, timely support to sellers and buyers, with ownership and management of issues across the auction experience.
  • Implement catastrophe management protocols to handle sudden spikes in volume effectively, ensuring seamless processing and remarketing of assets during high-demand periods.
  • Manage asset referral processes to ensure timely post-sale actions, completing transactions efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM to reflect customer interactions.
  • Lead and manage the team, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, inclusion, and excellence, while supporting team development through mentoring and regular performance reviews.
  • Contribute to IAA projects as needed.
  • Provide timely, relevant reporting on stock status, post-sale outcomes, WOVR, vehicle encumbrances, operating KPIs, sales volumes, and compliance or issue regulation.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional interpersonal and consultation skills with an ability to manage key stakeholders at all levels across the business and ability to work collaboratively with all departments
  • Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information to improve new practices or develop new approaches.
  • Project management skills with experience in handling competing priorities by utilizing your outstanding organizational and planning ability
  • Experience providing support, services and managing teams across multiple sites
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, decision-making and time management skills
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Previous experience working in the automotive industry will be an advantage.
