The Senior Manager, Sales Training and Development, is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of timely focused sales training programs to drive performance across the Sales organization.   This role will oversee a team of five professionals and partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure training aligns with business objectives, organizational goals, and market needs. The position requires a deep understanding of training methodologies, sales processes, and the ability to develop scalable and innovative learning solutions.

Responsabilités

  • Research, develop and deliver, on time and on budget, learning and development programs and tools to support the sales organization.
  • Oversee the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of sales training programs, including onboarding, product knowledge, skills enhancement, and Sales leadership development.
  • Lead and manage a team of five training professionals, providing coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback to achieve departmental goals which foster a culture of learning.
  • Partner with Sales leadership to identify training needs and create customized learning solutions that align with organizational objectives and sales strategies.
  • Analyze training data and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness, identify improvement opportunities, and implement changes as needed.
  • Manage the procurement, development, and deployment of training tools and resources to support new initiatives, rollouts, and operational goals.
  • Stay informed of sales trends, best practices, and learning technologies to drive innovation in training methods and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project priorities, timelines, and deliverables to ensure alignment with sales and operational needs.
  • Create high-quality presentations and reports to communicate training plans, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of learning and development within the Sales organization.
  • Support organizational strategy and challenges by ensuring training programs are adaptive, forward-thinking, and effective.
  • Responsible for planning and setting annual budgeting and forecasting expenditures for the sales training and development business unit.
  • Develops and manages training budget for programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, Training and Instruction, or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.  
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in leading sales training and development team(s), facilitators as well as instructional content design and development resources.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales training, instructional design, or a related role, and experience with facilitation and content creation (ideation, creation, and implementation).
  • Proven track record of developing and executing effective sales training programs and metrics for tracking training effectiveness and impact.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies as well as relevant technologies to aid and support ongoing learning.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decisions.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach to leadership and problem-solving.
  • Innovative mindset with a focus on delivering results and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Ad-hoc training related projects as needed.
