The Manager, Inspection Operations is responsible for playing a critical role in ensuring effective execution of the core RB Inspection Services operational duties in the field. This position will be responsible for driving quality and procedures improvement in achieving the mission of the RB Global. The Manager, Inspection Operations will be responsible for providing inspired leadership with a focus on providing guidance and support to all staff building a mentality of continuous improvement of safety, efficiency, innovation and technology. The Manager, Inspection Operations is essential to delivering a superior service and ensuring RB Inspection Operation is always prepared to evolve and efficiently meet the needs of our customers. The ideal candidate for this position will be located in the Edmonton area.  

Responsabilités

  • Drive field inspection process improvements; identify roadblocks; advance overall efficiency and scalability of the field inspection process driving greater profit
  • Safety, training, development and staffing of all field inspector roles across all regions under the division manager’s area of responsibility
  • Responsible for delivering expected quality, productivity and customer-service standards across division
  • Responsible for driving financial results related to field activity; direct cost per inspection, dispute costs, contractor costs, etc.
  • Evaluate, propose & test potential technology enhancements to provide new, innovative inspection solutions for our customers (i.e. virtual inspection options, enhanced video/inspection offerings)
  • Field inspections, special events and ad-hoc responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5 – 7 years of experience in management, operations and/or leadership
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in related equipment industry environment
  • 3 – 5 years of experience with general finance and budgeting principles
  • Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement safety, production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards
  • Assist VP, RB Inspection Services in preparation of annual budget; analyze variances and initiate corrective actions
  • Make decisions on daily operational activity in the field impacting RB Inspection Operations, other departments, and external customers; develop, implement, enforce and evaluate policies and procedures.
  • Communicate job expectations and create project teams; set focused priorities in-line with corporate objectives for auction & non-auction inspection programs; planning deliverables, assigning ownership and monitoring of job contributions towards deadlines
  • Solve daily operational challenges pertaining to routine policies and procedures – establishing new norms where necessary for field operations.
  • Solve complex, non-routine problems created by new strategic customers, inspection programs and/or opportunities requiring new policy/procedure
  • Communicate issues impacting internal and external customer experience as it relates to RB Inspection Services in the field; devise ways of improving the customer experience as well as resolving immediate problems and complaints
  • Analyze field inspection process workflow for continuous improvement; implement changes
