Key Responsibilities:
• Database Administration: Manage, monitor, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases on-premises and in Azure cloud environments.
• Incident & Request Management: Work on ServiceNow tickets daily, ensuring timely resolution of database-related issues, service requests, and performance concerns.
• 24/7 on call Support: Respond to critical issues and minimizing downtime through proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Patching & Upgrades: Perform regular service patches and version upgrades to ensure database security, stability, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize database performance, tuning queries, indexes, and configurations for optimal efficiency.

• Security & Compliance: Enforce database security policies, access controls, and compliance measures to safeguard sensitive data.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop scripts and automation tools for database maintenance, monitoring, and deployment tasks.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with app. Dev. teams, infrastructure engineers, and key stakeholders while maintaining comprehensive documentation for database environments.
Required Qualifications:
• Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA in on-premises and Azure cloud environments.
Technical Skills:
• Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2016, 2019, 2022, and Azure SQL databases).
• Strong knowledge of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (Always On, Clustering, SQL Replication, etc.).
• Experience with SQL Server patching, upgrades, and migrations.
• Proficiency in T-SQL scripting, query tuning, and database optimization.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Virtual Machines.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow for incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and support 24/7 production environments.
