The Team Lead, Sales Tax works closely with the Supervisor of Sales Tax and is responsible for all Sales Tax related to the United States Operations. The Team Lead is responsible for assisting with the oversight and training of the team responsible for tax exemption processing and assisting the team responsible for sales tax return preparation as needed. This position is also responsible for Reviewing Tax Audit and Statutory Tax filings and payments.

Responsabilités

  • Oversees Sales Tax functions to ensure accurate, complete, and timely recording of the Company’s sales tax obligations including on-time statutory tax filings and payments.
  • Ensure internal controls compliance of systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Supervise, train, develop and coach a team of 3-5 Sales Tax Associates.
  • Be a resource of knowledge related to Sales Tax and exemption applications.
  • Ensure tax laws and regulations are current and well-communicated to on-site operation teams.
  • Investigate and resolve buyer sales tax issues in collaboration with site managers and Sales Tax Associates.
  • Ensure that procedures are in compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Assist with month-end closing and reporting.
  • Provide tax and payments requirements to the external auditors.
  • Responsible for performance management and other duties related to direct reports.
  • Ensure training materials are up to date and provide training sessions when required.
  • Lead by example and role model in work ethics and organizational citizenship.

  • Ability to delegate duties, tasks, reports, and adhere to tight deadlines.
