The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) for Ritchie Bros. Financial Services (RBFS) is responsible for the maintenance and optimization of RBFS’ Loan Origination Systems (LOS), its processes and API integrations. The BSA will primarily work on supporting the day-to-day application workflow and the successful implementation of IT projects.  

The BSA will deliver on product changes and enhancements to support key business initiatives and provide technical support for product related issues. The BSA will coordinate and work closely with Business Stakeholders, IT Operations Manager, Vendors and Development Teams, to ensure all requirements, solution designs and test plans are comprehensively defined and understood, while managing timelines and deliverables between all parties involved. The BSA will be the liaison for the business needs and technical execution, start to end, with a strong focus on documenting requirements, performing gap analysis and conducting UAT.  

Responsabilités

  • Manages all LOS change requests, enhancements and API builds 
  • Deliver a product of the highest quality through good design, attention to detail and thorough system testing 
  • Subject Matter Expert of the products configurations and performance 
  • Gathers and reviews business requirements and mapping gap analysis 
  • Creates models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to RBFS Business, Vendors or Development Teams 
  • Coordinates and leads meetings to ensure requirements, solutions and timelines are understood by all parties 
  • Provides improvement recommendations based on the analysis of internal and external business needs, business objectives, and existing enterprise architecture 
  • Provide orientation and training to end users for new and modified product capabilities 
  • Technical Support for users experiencing application generation and submission issues 
  • Develop and maintain the technical documentation of the products process and API schemas 
  • Performs other various duties as required 

Qualifications

  • College diploma or university degree in business administration, computer science, finance, or management information systems or equivalent.  
  • 3+ years Business Analyst and/or Project Management experience, overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, systems, or products.  
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). 
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. 
  • Keen attention to detail. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to communicate ideas to both technical and business audiences. 
  • Ability to work with varying stakeholders to reach consensus on scope and timelines. 
  • Great organizational skills 
  • Highly self-motivated and directed. 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-paced environment. 

Desirable:  

  • Salesforce knowledge and experience 
  • Experience supporting API implementations and enhancements 
  • Business Analysis Certification 
  • Experience supporting Sales &/or CRM  
  • Working knowledge of MS Office tools, Jira and Confluence 

Nice-to-have:  

  • Working knowledge of Programming languages (Java, .NET or APEX) 
  • Understanding of Web Services & SQL 
  • Industry experience in financial services an asset.
