Position Summary:
The Senior System Engineer is a critical role within our organization and is responsible for designing, deploying, and managing multiple Microsoft-based environments. This role focuses on managing the active directory environments while striving for optimization, availability, and improvement. The Sr. Systems Engineer will collaborate with IT and development teams to create a resilient environment. A deep understanding of network protocols, virtualization, and cloud services is essential for success in this position.
In addition to technical expertise, the Systems Engineer will play a critical role in developing and enforcing IT policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. The candidate will be expected to stay current with emerging technologies and trends, continuously improving our systems and processes. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are required, as the role involves working closely with various departments to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Windows Server administration, group policy management, DNS/DHCP, and scripting with tools like PowerShell. Experience with Active Direction, automation, system monitoring tools and familiarity with backup/disaster recovery solutions is also highly valued.
