Description
Manager Field Operations to work within Ritchie Bros Government Services division, GovPlanet. Specifically to meet the contractual requirements of the Rolling Stock & recently won Non-Rolling Stock contracts with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), a division of the US Department of Defense (DoD). The contracts represent in excess of $100 million in annual sales volume and over 50,000 pieces of inventory (trucks, trailers, construction, industrial and agriculture equipment, as well as surplus parts and textiles) located across the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities
- Strategically planning operations for maximizing operational efficiency and profitability while meeting business demands, including; ensure inventory demands are met, assess scope of work required for new business opportunities and implement plan of action in adherence to contractual requirements
- Lead, train, and develop all Direct Reports and other Associates in a manner that ensures optimum performance
- Manages daily operations for the equipment procurement, inventory management, maintenance function and makes recommendations for alternatives if needed
- Analyze operations, identify performance issues, and recommend and implement corrective action
- Implement and maintain safety plan according to company and OSHA standards, including training, coaching and communicating new policies and procedures, as it pertains to safety
- Other duties as assigned per business needs
