The Oracle HCM Functional Analyst will provide functional support for RB Global’s HR systems, with a focus on understanding business processes, supporting day-to-day HR needs, and identifying opportunities to improve processes, data, and standards. The role will partner with the People team, business stakeholders, HR technology, vendors, and QA teams to understand requirements, assess impacts, support enhancements, and ensure solutions meet business needs. A key focus will be supporting QA and test automation by developing functional test scenarios, conducting business process walkthroughs, validating system setups and expected outcomes, reviewing test results, and supporting defect resolution. The successful candidate will have strong Oracle Cloud HCM functional knowledge, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while managing confidential and complex assignments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience supporting or implementing Oracle Cloud HCM, with strong functional/business process experience.
  • Strong understanding of HR business processes and how they translate into Oracle HCM.
  • Experience working with one or more Oracle HCM modules such as Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Absences, Time, or Core HR.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and determine functional root causes.
  • Experience working in a structured change management, ticketing, or project environment such as JIRA/CAB.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with executives, management, HR teams, IT, vendors, and end users.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams across multiple time zones, with some flexibility to adjust working hours earlier or later to accommodate EST/PST teams.
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and judgment when handling confidential employee and business information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional support for Oracle Cloud HCM applications, with exposure to areas such as Benefits, Recruiting, Payroll, Absences, Time and other core HR processes.
  • Partner with People team stakeholders and business owners to understand business needs, identify issues, and recommend practical functional solutions.
  • Analyze and document business requirements, process changes, enhancements, and system impacts.
  • Support the intake, analysis, prioritization, and delivery of system enhancements and defects through established JIRA/CAB and change management processes.
  • Work closely with HR, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the development, testing, and deployment lifecycle.
  • Support QA activities by:
    • Providing detailed business process walkthroughs to QA and automation teams.
    • Identifying key business scenarios, positive and negative test cases, and expected outcomes.
    • Validating system setups and configurations once changes have been completed.
    • Participating in functional testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and defect validation.
    • Partnering with QA resources to identify opportunities to improve test coverage and automation.
  • Maintain functional documentation, including business process documentation, requirements, test scenarios, configuration decisions, and change documentation.
  • Support Oracle HCM releases, enhancements, and upgrades by assessing functional impacts and coordinating appropriate testing and validation.
  • Provide functional guidance, and coaching to end users and stakeholders as required.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders regarding the status of requests, issues, testing, risks, and concerns.
  • Participate in team meetings, working sessions, and projects across multiple time zones.
  • Work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when working with sensitive employee and business information.
  • Set a positive example through attitude, accountability, and performance and take on additional responsibilities as required.
