Description
The Product Specialist Lead serves as the subject matter expert (SME) and key liaison between Product Management, Sales, Operations, and Customer Experience teams. This role is responsible for ensuring product knowledge excellence, market readiness, and alignment between product capabilities and customer needs. The Product Specialist Lead combines strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills to drive product adoption, enablement, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, or Technical Sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
- Experience working in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Proven track record of enabling product success through training, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities
Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Specialists, setting clear goals and expectations aligned with business priorities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across the team.
- Provide ongoing training, feedback, and performance development to ensure high-quality deliverables and expertise.
Product Expertise & Enablement
- Lead the end-to-end project and program management of complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives within operations and sales ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and in scope.
- Develop detailed project plans, define clear objectives, allocate resources, proactively manage risks, and establish robust communication channels across project teams and stakeholders
- Serve as the go-to expert on assigned products or solutions, maintaining deep understanding of features, value propositions, competitive positioning, and use cases.
- Partner with Product Managers to translate technical capabilities into customer-focused messaging, documentation, and training.
- Support go-to-market (GTM) activities and product launches, ensuring readiness across Sales, Marketing, and Support teams.
- Develop and deliver product training sessions, FAQs, and resource materials for internal stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between Product, Sales, Operations, and Customer Support to resolve escalated issues and drive customer satisfaction.
- Provide structured feedback to Product Management on feature performance, customer feedback, and market opportunities.
- Participate in roadmap discussions and represent the customer voice in product development.
- Collaborate with Marketing to align content and messaging with product positioning and brand standards.
Data & Insights
- Analyze product usage data and customer feedback to identify adoption trends, pain points, and improvement areas.
- Track KPIs related to product performance, enablement impact, and customer satisfaction.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategy and decision-making.
