Description
The Senior Project Manager leads, plans, executes, and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, following industrial and specific RBA project standards and frameworks. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The incumbent also defines the project’s objectives and oversees quality control throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications
- 7 + years direct work experience in a project management capacity.
- Have had responsibility for leading numerous successful complex projects; delivered on-time, on-budget meeting client requirements with high team satisfaction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Projects, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of task management/planning tools e.g. Confluence or JIRA
- Proven effective leadership skills and personnel management.
- Challenges others to develop as leaders while clarifying roles and responsibilities.
- The ability to deliver professional presentations.
- Mentor personnel, conduct training and be a role model for integrity
- Office and/or remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage complex projects in a technical environment.
- Work with team leads to source project team members throughout project.
- Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
- Lead the project team to define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Drive cross-functional team members to develop detailed project schedules and milestones, project plans, budget, scope, timeline and risks and risk mitigation plans to meet project requirements while maintaining positive team moral.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
- Partner with project stakeholders in making timely decisions.
- Establishing and enforcing the use of the project’s Change Control process
- Use basic knowledge of general finance and accounting principles to understand and communicate how decisions affect bottom line for the project and the overall P&L of the company
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
- Define and report project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Conduct project postmortems and create a recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Work across practice to share lessons learned and best practices.
