The Opportunity
We are excited to offer an entry-level opportunity designed for young professionals looking to begin their career in sales within an international environment. This role is open to candidates based in France and offers a clear pathway into a field-based sales career.
Following the initial training period, you will transition into a Territory Sales role, with flexibility and willingness to relocate within France depending on business needs.
The Trainee Territory Sales Manager will take part in an intensive 6-month hands-on training program, working closely with and learning from one of our experienced sales teams. This program is designed to provide a strong foundation in our business, our customers, and the key skills and processes required to succeed as a Territory Sales Manager.
Upon completion of the training, you will enter a Sales Practicum period of 1 to 3 months, where you will begin applying your knowledge in a real-world setting, while continuing to receive support and coaching from your team. After successfully completing this structured program, you will be fully prepared to take ownership of a Territory Sales Manager role within a multi-million-dollar territory.
Responsibilities
- Learn Territory Management: Prospecting & Developing Business, Planning & Pipeline Management
- Trained in Selling Skills: Call Preparation, Relationship Building, Building Rapport, Identifying Needs, Delivering Value & Gaining Commitment
- Learn Procedures & Processes: Deal Management Auction Operations & Customer Service
- Learn Equipment & Sector Knowledge: Heavy Equipment Knowledge, Maximizing Equipment Values, Market Knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 6 months + work experience in a structured sales role, and a consistent track record of meeting & exceeding quotas
- You have a strong learning ability, coupled with a desire to learn more about everything around you
- A strong work ethic without sacrificing your sense of humor or ability to have fun on the job
- The ability to travel 1 to 2 days per week to cover the territory, as well as up to a week a few times per year to attend auctions and training
- You will have to maintain a valid, clean driver’s license
- It helps if you have experience with heavy equipment
- Strong communication skills, especially when it comes to listening
- A head for numbers, and the ability to make sound decisions quickly in a fast-paced setting
- A natural ability to build authentic customer relationships
