Digital Marketing Manager – International
Ritchie Bros. is a global marketplace for used equipment and trucks, connecting buyers and sellers in more than 170 countries. Through our digital platforms and live auctions, we help customers buy and sell with confidence at scale.
We’re looking for a hands-on digital leader to drive growth across our international business.
This role owns digital acquisition, marketplace engagement, and conversion performance across EMEA, APAC, and emerging regions. You’ll operate at both a strategic and executional level, building plans, running campaigns, and delivering measurable results, while leading a team of digital marketing specialists.
This is not a traditional digital marketing role. You’ll be responsible for driving digital growth across a global marketplace, working across regions and directly influencing how buyers and sellers engage with our platform.
What You’ll Own
- Digital buyer acquisition and bidder growth
- Seller lead generation across international markets
- Campaign performance across paid media, SEO, and lifecycle channels
- Conversion optimisation across landing pages and digital journeys

What You’ll Do
- Lead and develop a team of digital marketing specialists, setting direction and driving performance
- Plan, execute, and optimise campaigns across multiple digital channels
- Identify growth opportunities and scale high-performing programs
- Partner with Product to improve website performance and UX
- Work with country teams to roll out and optimise campaigns globally
- Use data and analytics to drive decisions and improve outcomes
- Test new channels, tools, and approaches to drive continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12 years in digital marketing or growth roles
- Experience leading or mentoring digital marketing specialists or small teams
- Strong hands-on experience across paid media, SEO, and performance marketing
- Proven ability to drive measurable growth
- Experience working across multiple international markets
- Data-driven mindset and strong analytical skills
- Budgeting experience
- Experience in marketplaces, ecommerce, or B2B platforms is highly desirable

Qualifications
- Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience in digital marketing production
- The candidate should possess strong leadership, project management and communication skills, and digital technology expertise.
- Proven technical expertise in a broad range of digital marketing systems and technologies, including HTML/CSS, web graphics & video, email marketing tools, web analytics, Flash, scripting.
- Expertise with content management tools
- Experience with mobile marketing technologies, including mobile web, SMS.
- Experience with web domain registration management and multi-domain environments
- Experience with conversion and experience optimization techniques
- Experience leading and building high performing teams in dynamic setting.
- Experience in international marketing a plus

Responsibilities
- Deliver recommendations to marketing teams on proposed digital strategy, channel plans and digital marketing program concepts, execution and analysis based on best practices and program objectives.
- Integrate digital strategy into overall marketing process, partnering with the marketing teams and other internal functional teams to facilitate integrated approach and ensure the digital strategy is appropriately realized in the digital space.
- Manage short- and long-term digital strategies and execution of web site redesigns, and digital creative development for RBA online properties.
- Contribute to the development and stewardship of point-of-views, digital guidelines, and governance, including agency communication, vendor management, guideline optimization and adherence.
- Evaluate emerging media channels, vendors, tools, technology and tactics for appropriateness and opportunities to drive RBA business goals.
- Work closely with the Consumer Insights & Business Intelligence (BI) teams to report on and monitor digital program performance
- Evaluate and manage external resources in execution of projects, including agencies, developers, and other third-party partners.
- Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies including programming re-use, process refinement, vendor selection, etc.
- Effectively communicate and educate RBA associates on key digital concepts within the organization.
- Develop and align organization and external partners on success metrics for digital marketing.
- Provide digital point-of-view to marketing team members when they evaluate proposals containing a digital component.
- Stay well-informed and versed on trends, rapidly changing technology and best practices in the digital arena, and facilitate knowledge sharing with Marketing teams.
- Meet with external vendors to bring knowledge of new offerings in house
- Develop, continually refine and communicate best practices that can be shared cross-category and cross-market.
- Develop and lead (with agencies and/or external experts) digital training for marketers.
- Work with the ecommerce team to ensure integration with online needs in site redesigns and/or updates.
- Create a team based working environment and provide coaching, direction, and development of employees within the Digital Marketing Team.
- Participate in digital focused meetings as the Digital Marketing expert.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
