Description

The Logistics Administrator works specifically to meet the contractual requirements of the recently won contract with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), a division of the US Department of Defense (DoD). The contract represents in excess of $50 million in annual sales volume and over 15,000 equipment units (trucks, trailers, construction, and agriculture and material handling equipment) located across the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska, Guam and Puerto Rico.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of work experience
  • Good computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional communication skills and strong business acumen
  • Team player with leadership abilities
  • Highly organized and able to concurrently handle multiple tasks and projects
  • Will be required to obtain clearance with U.S. Department of Defense (background check, etc.)
  • Work both indoors and outdoors year-round, and climb on and off large equipment and trucks

Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships with IronPlanet’s preferred logistics service providers
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of all activities regarding the engagement of logistics service providers
  • Resolve issues related to logistics service providers
  • Track and measure financial performance for all logistics services
  • Track and measure storage inventory levels
  • Ensure all logistics related responsibilities, to include tracking and reporting on relocated assets, are properly coordinated and executed
  • Assist with all property returns to DLA Disposition Services
  • Flexible and willing to perform other tasks as assigned
