Description
The International Benefits Administrator is responsible for the end-to-end administration and operational management of international employee benefit programs. This role ensures accurate enrollment and disenrollment processing, vendor coordination, invoice handling, compliance documentation, and continuous improvement of benefits processes. The position partners closely with People Coordinators, HRBPs, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure international benefit programs are maintained, compliant, operationally efficient, and effectively communicated to employees
What You Will Do
- Manage end-to-end international benefits administration, including enrollments, disenrollments, and qualifying life event changes.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of new hires, terminations, and benefit updates across all applicable international programs.
- Conduct regular audits to validate enrollment data between HR systems, payroll systems, and vendors, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Coordinate annual renewals and benefit updates, ensuring accurate implementation and clear employee communication.
- Partner with the international benefits broker (e.g., Mercer) and serve as primary liaison for vendors regarding eligibility updates, plan changes, issue resolution, and service performance.
- Monitor vendor service levels and escalate when service level agreements (SLAs) are not met.
- Gather, review, validate, and appropriately code benefit invoices for submission to the Finance team for processing.
- Maintain accurate records of international benefit offerings, including plan summaries, employee-facing materials, policies, and required documentation.
- Develop and maintain detailed process flows and work instructions to ensure consistency, operational efficiency, and knowledge continuity.
- Collaborate with People Coordinators, HRBPs, and Payroll to ensure benefit data accuracy within HRMS and payroll systems, serve as a go-to resource for benefits-related matters, and support ongoing optimization of international benefits processes.
Here is what you bring
- 1–3 years of experience in benefits administration, with international exposure preferred.
- Strong aptitude for technology – HRMS, Payroll Systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and supporting service level oversight.
- Familiarity with audits, invoice validation, or data reconciliation processes.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Payroll, HR, and Finance.
