To keep on offering excellent service to our customers, we are looking for a Customer Service Manager in Meppen (DE).
The Opportunity:
Before, during and after our auctions you are the number-one point of contact, for both customers and your colleagues. You live and breathe customer satisfaction and go up over and beyond to make that happen, even if you need to take many hurdles to uphold the Ritchie Bros. philosophy of providing exceptional service.
Every few weeks your team has a major challenge, meeting all auction targets and doing it in a way that even our longest clients are amazed once again. Taking on this challenge as a team is what provides a lot of fun. On top of that, with every achievement the team builds an even stronger bond. Even though you go through the same auction cycle, no day is the same. This highly divers job will ask a lot from you and your colleagues.
You are responsible for all administrative aspects of the auction. Therefore, this is an intense and intensely administrative role. You must be comfortable working with digital administration and have an obsession with detail and accuracy in order to succeed.
You will be accountable for:
- Ensure that superior customer service is delivered at all times to all customers.
- Set up and maintain auction information systems.
- Balance auction results, and take care of accounts receivable, collections and banking responsibilities.
- Verify that funds have been collected.
- Check and process registration documents.
- Build strong relationships with various agencies to obtain information and to resolve issues.
- Actively answer telephone calls so that our customers can be helped quickly.
Here is what you bring:
Our ideal candidate is energetic, motivated, and a highly organized team player with a focus on customer service. You set clear customer expectations and proactively resolve internal issues affecting their experience. You demonstrate the ability to respond promptly and effectively with sound judgment when faced with time-sensitive situations. You are a great team player, but you can also work independently. Experience with any of the following is an asset: accounts receivable, account reconciliation, agricultural machinery or heavy equipment. Furthermore, you have:
- 2+ years of customer service experience in an international environment.
- Fantastic computer skills, including the ability to master new systems and enter data quickly and accurately.
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills in German and English
It’s important to note that:
- You'll maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- This is not an “8:00AM to 5:00PM” job. As an event-driven company, overtime is a major part of what we do.
