We are looking for an Equipment Inspector in Ocaña (Spain).
The Opportunity:
As an Equipment Inspector you are a ‘hands-on’ individual who is passionate about taking great strides to conduct accurate and thorough equipment inspections. If you haven’t dealt with every piece of equipment you can think of, then this is your chance. From trucks and trailers to dump-trucks and excavators. We sell it all and you will develop knowledge of it all. Every auction at our Maltby yard some 1000 lots are inspected, logged, and lined up. Even though we are a company with a digital focus work at the yard remains very intensive. In this position you'll:
- Accurately gather and verify equipment inventory information (e.g. contract proofs, equipment additions, serial numbers, etc) related to the Detailed Information (DEI) Program.
- Responsible for assessing equipment and composing photos for the DEI Program.
- Verify all equipment descriptions based on the Equipment Standards Manual.
- Identify and record all equipment components, accessories and asset details.
- Perform visual inspection (e.g. wear points, damage, hour meter readings, etc) and functional testing (e.g. basic operations of the asset) on equipment related to the DEI Program.
- Responsible and accountable for quality assurance of equipment data input and associated information of inspected assets.
- Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods.
- Create videos demonstrating how the equipment works, both by manipulating the equipment and recording the process.
- Perform basic maintenance work on the facilities, work as part of a team, collaborating on everything necessary and demonstrating proactivity.

You have excellent organizational skills, you’re the type that leaves no detail unattended. Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed. Excellent time management skills, the ability to multi-task multiple projects and initiatives effectively and prioritize work are essential. You must also have the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines. Furthermore, you have:
- You have experience in equipment inspections, inventory and appraisals and/or inventory control management
- Proven ability to effectively interface with Sales and Operational teams, as well as customers. You must have a strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency using technology such as computers / digital cameras and able to learn new programs quickly
- Professional level Spanish
It’s important to note that:
- You must be able to work outside for extended periods in all types of weather.
- You must be able to climb on top of and under large construction equipment.
