We’re seeking a Field Equipment Inspector who combines technical know-how with flexibility, energy, and a proactive mindset to help us maintain the highest inspection standards
The opportunity:

As a Field Inspector, you’ll travel frequently and sometimes extensively—both locally and internationally—with some trips lasting up to two weeks at a time. You’ll inspect a wide range of heavy equipment from Mining to Construction and Transport to Agriculture, ensuring each asset is properly assessed, documented, and photographed on-site using our dedicated inspection app.
You’ll play a critical role in supporting our sales teams and customers, with responsibilities that go far beyond checking boxes. From handling complex inspections independently to mentoring junior inspectors, this is a role for someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves, adapt quickly, and embrace every challenge with a solution-first attitude.
Here’s what you do:
- Travel extensively to remote and international locations to perform inspections, often for 1–2 weeks at a time.
- Use the Inspector application to complete inspections for various equipment and product types.
- Coordinate and/or perform tasks to prepare equipment for inspection.
- Plan strategic routes to maximize efficiency for remote inspections.
- Support auction day activities.
- Navigate unique equipment types to select the appropriate inspection checklist, ensuring content accuracy.
- Assess equipment conditions and provide detailed descriptions.
- Upgrade or downgrade inspection types to align with actual equipment conditions.
- Communicate and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical concerns related to the Inspector app and inspection processing.
- Organize daily tasks efficiently to support effective sale processing for multi-channel products.
Here’s what you bring:
We’re looking for someone with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, who is capable of building strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers, ensuring clear and efficient communication.
- High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred.
- Accreditations supporting industry-specific experience are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a related equipment industry environment.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and maintain quality under pressure.
Please note that:
- This role is physically active - climbing on/off equipment, walking, kneeling, and lifting items up to 20kg are part of the job.Willingness and ability to travel frequently, often for up to two weeks at a time, across multiple countries and settings—from job sites and yards to remote locations.
