Job Description
The Auction Coordinator will be responsible for controlling inventory and reviewing the Merchandising Coordinator’s inspection reports. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: determining method of sale, assisting with and reviewing basic inspection on items, pricing items with our proprietary system and preparing items for public viewing with in depth quality. This is a hybrid work arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing Joint Inventory with government staff for government shipments.
- Performing inspections of inventory items with a proprietary inspection application
- Determine best option of our available sales channels to maximize returns for the company
- Determine ideal quantity for grouping items into lots and pricing with our proprietary system
- Leads the evaluation and the accuracy of inspection reports from the Merchandising Coordinator by reviewing photographs of the equipment and overall condition assessments.
- Identifies and verifies the quality and category type for all incoming items.
- Ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience providing excellent customer service to customers and colleagues.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to learn new programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (on this job your most valuable tools will be the 2-way radio, a cell phone and a computer).
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Needs to live within the Grand Prairie area in order to assist with auction set up.
- Farm equipment knowledge is an asset.
