  • The Senior Valuation Analyst is responsible for complex and significant evaluations of equipment for purchases and guarantees. Ensure resulting market valuations keep the company competitive and profitable while reducing the risk of loss through careful research of the sales trends for similar equipment and the global market at large. Researches and evaluates equipment listings to determine reasonable target prices based on the inspection report. Provides reports and analysis to Sales Management to set realistic expectations for sellers as to the potential value of inventory and equipment. Candidates for this position should be located in Eastern Canada. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for complex analysis and evaluation of equipment for purchases and guarantees.
  • Evaluates equipment to establish reasonable target prices for items that are in inventory.
  • Assist Sales Management such as Territory Managers and Regional Managers in establishing reasonable auction target values to discuss with customers interested in consigning equipment.
  • Conducts appraisal work by researching, sourcing and capturing current global price data to document and confirm appraisal values for required record keeping on all appraisals.
  • Serves as valuation subject matter expert to auction management in setting auction targets where needed.
  • Coordinates with dispute management in evaluating potential loss/gain in resale or settlement of disputed equipment and inventory.
  • Supports and communications as needed on pricing advice in support of auction operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 plus years previous experience in the equipment industry.
  • Previous auction experience a plus.
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple countries wide variety of equipment, trucks, across multiple segments (Agricultural, industrial, construction, rental, etc.).
  • Efficiently and effectively multi-tasks and work with Sales Leaders, Territory Managers, and Regional Managers to help the sales team achieve goals.
  • Applies skills and knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Develops and enhances a network of industry contacts that are knowledgeable in specialty areas for pricing information support.
