The Territory Sales Support helps the TM populate the sales pipeline by leveraging customer referrals and targeting and qualifying new leads as well as assisting customers already in the pipeline by helping with appraisals, dealing with customer issues and calling on customers in the TM’s absence. 

This role focuses individual activities on supporting the TM to manage their customer data and accounts (determine which strategy to apply: acquisition, loyalty, conversion, win back and introduction of RB services) and will acquire the technical skills needed to use sales tools necessary to conduct business.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to sales related calls/enquiries for the sale site and redirect, where appropriate to the TM
  • Responds to all walk-in business for the TM assigned to that territory – including contract negotiation, contract approvals, deal management and customer follow-up
  • Acts as a liaison between Head Office departments and the customer and TM
  • Supports and assists Territory Managers with:
    • Creating and Closing Opportunities
      • Researches and targets prospects
      • Conducts interest-building calls (cold calls) when applicable
      • Generates customer interest
      • Identifies, follows up on, and manages sales leads
      • Qualifies opportunities
      • Provides administrative assistance to facilitate sales
      • Assists with developing winning proposals
      • Orchestrates support for negotiations and creates contracts and statements of work
    • Maintaining Accounts
      • Prepares reports on account status
      • Ensures customer information is accurate and current
    • Tradeshows
    • Sale Day Duties

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong customer relations skills and professional demeanor
  • Adequate aptitude in the Core Competencies of a successful TM
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Willingness and ability to relocate based on RBA market needs to facilitate promotion – if necessary
  • Strong computer skills and experience with various business applications (i.e. Lotus Notes, Oracle, Salesplace, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
  • You will be required to maintain a valid, clean driver’s license
  • You will be required to have a valid passport

Education / Experience 

  • College degree a “plus” but not necessary
  • Coursework in business and/or sales an asset
  • 3 to 5 years relevant sales experience
