  • Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the Equipment Inventory Clerk will work ‘hands-on’, and have the ability to work with a variety customers. This position will perform administrative work and a variety of functions within the Detailed Equipment Team.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the first point of contact for customer questions and issues related to the heavy equipment inventory.
  • Administer shipping & receiving documents related to the movement of the equipment to and from the auction site, and enter related information into the appropriate software systems
  • Accurately identify equipment serial numbers, record basic equipment descriptions and label the equipment correctly.
  • Promote a culture where the health and safety of our employees and customers is top priority for all.
  • Provide assistance as required to the rest of the Detailed Equipment Inspection (DEI) Team.
  • Assist the Sales team with appraisals and write-ups in the field between peak periods, as required.
  • Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 2+ years of Administrative Support experience
  • Knowledge of -- or the desire to learn about -- construction equipment and trucks.
  • Proficient with computers and good working knowledge / experience using MS Office Suite products (e.g. Word, Excel). Documentation processing experience is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You must be process-oriented and comfortable adhering to company policies and procedures to be successful in this role.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent organizational skills. You’re the type that leaves no detail unattended.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented and self-directed, and able to work independently, as well as collaboratively. You thrive working as part of a team and pitch-in wherever needed.
