The Auction Coordinator- Internet (ACI) is knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of operating online auction sales. They are heavily involved in projects and spend additional time working on future department growth. ACIs are also highly skilled as an eClerk and eRingman where they would accurately relay online bids to the auctioneer in live real-time, while displaying the current bid/ask price. They are also required to assist in the setup and configuration for live and timed auctions for online bidding. This entails being the point of contact for the auction sites for any requests or issues.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and administrative duties in the backend systems for timed and live auctions.
  • Create and handle tickets in CustomerHub (Salesforce).
  • Manage Customer Service Inbox in Salesforce
  • Assist with the online auctions by performing virtual bid placements & working with auctioneers as they sell in real time.
  • Assist with the development and enhancement of the Online bidding department.
  • Assist the Critical Incident Manager as needed for severity 1 technical issues.
  • Supporting the field operations by deciphering bid log reports, providing video clips, and administering customer accounts and online auction issues.
  • Ability to work well and make high-impact decisions in high-pressure situations including pausing a live auction due to technical issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Aptitude and appetite for audio-visual, team communication and computer technology
  • Good computer skills especially with knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Great organization skills, attention to details and ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication skills including fluency in English and a very keen ear for listening
  • Ability to follow data flows and pinpoint where breakdowns occur
  • Work environment consist of Loud environment / Heavy headset / Intense, Uninterrupted Focus on Screens / Very Early Mornings. Late Nights, Weekends
  • Travel as required to various international auction sites, travel to head office
