Job Description

  • The Auction Coordinator- Internet (ACI) is knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of operating online auction sales. They are heavily involved in projects and spend additional time working on future department growth. ACIs are also highly skilled as an eClerk and eRingman where they would accurately relay online bids to the auctioneer in live real-time, while displaying the current bid/ask price. They are also required to assist in the setup and configuration for live and timed auctions for online bidding. This entails being the point of contact for the auction sites for any requests or issues.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all online marketplaces to ensure all equipment is live and ready to take active bids.
  • Work closely with various sales departments to assign an accurate value, opening bid and buy now option to all necessary items. 
  • Sole responsibility for the accurate pricing and control of a weekly RB Global auction.
  • Work closely with the inspection team to ensure Inspection Accuracy and Quality Control     
  • Responsible for resolving any issues, making modifications and following up with other sales teams regarding equipment that is selling on all online marketplaces.
  • Analyze specific sellers or equipment types, recommending the best auction to maximize their equipment value.
  • Work closely with the MarketPlace E sales team in assisting with any issues that arise from brokered deals.
  • Monitor all requests for bid/offer removals and action accordingly.
  • Work with the payments and post-sale support teams to address any issues that arise from both pre and post-sale equipment.

Qualifications

  • Aptitude and appetite for audio-visual, team communication and computer technology
  • Good computer skills especially with knowledge of the MS Office suite (Word, Excel)
  • Great organization skills, attention to details and ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding communication skills including fluency in English and a very keen ear for listening
  • Ability to follow data flows and pinpoint where breakdowns occur
  • Work environment consist of Loud environment / Heavy headset / Intense, Uninterrupted Focus on Screens / Very Early Mornings. Late Nights, Weekends
  • Travel as required to various international auction sites, travel to head office
