Job Description

We are seeking a Power BI Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in Power BI administration, Power BI development, Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and data analytics. The Power BI Developer will be responsible for assisting with Power BI tenant administration, designing, developing, and maintaining complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration of the Power BI environment 
  • Design, optimization, and support of multiple MS SSAS tabular models which reside in Power BI 
  • Ensuring data security and compliance with best practices 
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues in Power BI reports 
  • Providing training and support to end users on using Power BI 
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and trends 
  • Working with Data Analysts in designing and developing Power BI reports and dashboards 

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 

  • 2+ years of experience in Power BI development. 
  • Hands-on experience with advanced Power BI features and integration with other Microsoft BI tools. 
  • Experience with MS SSAS tabular and multidimensional models 
  • Proficiency in Power BI report and semantic model development 
  • Understanding of data modeling and data visualization concepts 
  • Experience with SQL for data manipulation and extraction 
  • Knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) Familiarity with data warehouse concepts 
  • Performance optimization leveraging various model optimization/debugging techniques 
  • Strong problem solving skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal / collaboration skills to work with business users 
  • Azure and Cloud experience 
  • Power BI certifications preferred
