Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer specializing in mobile application development, responsible for technical execution within Product Engineering teams. This role focuses on designing and implementing scalable, high-quality mobile solutions using Flutter while ensuring seamless integration with native applications (iOS and Android)Collaborating closely with Product Management, and Product Engineering to deliver customer and product-centric capabilities while leveraging lean development practicesYou’ll bring a proactive attitude about risk, working to identify and resolve performance and scalability issues. Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of mobile applications using Flutter, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Ability to implement Flutter modules that integrate seamlessly with existing native applications (iOS and Android).
  • Focus on code quality, while ensuring strategies to safely and reliably make changes to production systems frequently are followed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Mentor and support the growth of junior and intermediate engineers through knowledge sharing, pairing, technical guidance, and feedback. 
  • Drive performance optimization efforts for Flutter apps and integrations to deliver a smooth user experience.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers to evaluate team performance, provide input for annual reviews, and participate in hiring initiatives.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and tools in Flutter, Dart, and mobile development, incorporating innovative approaches into the development process.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines to support efficient mobile app deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on mobile application development.
  • Strong expertise in mobile development using both native (e.g., Swift, Kotlin) and hybrid technologies (e.g., Flutter).
  • Proficiency in Flutter and Dart, with hands-on experience building and deploying production-grade Flutter applications.
  • Strong understanding of integrating Flutter modules into native iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin/Java) applications.
  • Experience with native mobile development and familiarity with platform-specific tools and frameworks (e.g., Xcode, Android Studio).
  • Solid understanding of mobile design patterns, architectures (e.g., MVVM, BLoC), and state management solutions.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, and integrating mobile applications with backend services.
  • Familiarity with performance profiling tools for mobile applications and optimizing Flutter app performance.
  • Knowledge of app store submission processes for iOS and Android, including compliance with platform guidelines.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Bitrise, GitHub CircleCI, or Jenkins for automating mobile build and deployment pipelines.
  • Exposure to testing frameworks like Mockito, Appium, or Flutter’s integration test package.
  •  Knowledge of accessibility standards and practices in mobile application development.
  • Experience with modern Lean Software development, pair programing, TDD and Trunk Based Development
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
