Job Description

The Treasury Lead is a key member of the Corporate Treasury team that is responsible for the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end Treasury activities. This includes cashflow forecasting, monitoring and controlling liquidity, debt administration, and ensuring compliance with debt covenants and company, department, and audit standards to protect the company’s cash. The Treasury Lead prepares quarterly work relating to debt covenant compliance of the credit and bond agreements, which includes financial ratio calculations, questionnaires, schedules, and monitoring of basket limits, and results in a compliance certificate package signed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Responsibilities

  • Assist with managing the daily global cash management and flow of funds (including liquidity management, short-term cash flow forecasting).
  • Prepare quarterly and adhoc work related to debt covenant compliance to the credit and bond agreements.
  • Perform financial modelling, financial reporting and analysis, and long-range cashflow forecasts.
  • Support the Assistant Treasurer and Treasurer with other processes, functions and projects as required.
  • Monthly and quarterly working paper preparation and reporting, and analysis work.
  • Assist the Supervisor in daily tasks managing application reporting, ensures team members follow processes and procedures set by the company and management.
  • Acts as a role model and coaches, mentors, and manages a team of accounting specialist in the execution of department and company goals
  • Trains and guides the Cash Management team and Treasury Analysts on improving and automating processes.
  • The Treasury Lead prepares detailed analysis of interest expense, and forecasts of interest expense/income and interest rates.
  • Other duties include managing intercompany loans, presenting foreign exchange (FX) rate commentary and FX risk exposure and analysis to the Treasurer and SVP Finance, and leading the forecasting of short-term and long-term cashflow projections.
  • The Treasury Lead also provides training and guidance to the Cash Management team and Treasury Analysts on efficiencies and automation, prepares internal and external reports and working papers. Handles day-to-day approvals of online banking transactions, and supports the execution of detailed funds flows for debt transactions, acquisitions and repatriation plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance or Treasury-related areas.
  • Typical Business Office or Work from Home (WFH) Environment.
