RB Global guarantees that all buyers will purchase equipment that is free and clear of encumbrances. The Disbursement Specialist contributes to the overall Risk Management of the Seller Services front-end cycle. Major responsibilities include preparation of the settlement statements and payment of fully reviewed settlements to Consignors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare settlement Statements
- Prepare payments for approved advances, inventory purchases and annual files.
- Ensure that the settlement accounts such as auction proceeds payable, holdbacks, repairs & hauling and repairs & maintenance are prepared and recorded correctly.
- Ensure appropriate authorisations in accordance with the company’s contractual obligations and within company policy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies independently and/or in collaboration with settlement team members and Operations staff.
- Confirm bank details are recorded for all Suppliers, liaising with Supplier Maintenance team
- Overall participation and management of quality assurance reporting for Seller Services KPIs.
- Exercise ethical and objective judgment skills.
- Participation in special projects.
- Performs other accounting administrative duties as required.
- Flexibility and willingness to work varied hours as required.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor/Lead.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience working in an office environment.
- Enrolled or about to enroll in an accounting program.
- Accounts Receivable and/or Accounts Payable is an asset.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Proficiency with Office package.
- Great organizational skills. You have a proven ability to juggle multiple projects effectively, to prioritize a high volume of work, and to meet strict deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail – you’ll provide precise facts and figures and produce accurate work.
- Ability to work independently in a high volume, deadline-driven environment.
