Are you ready to make your summer count? Join our dynamic 10-week internship program (June 2 – August 8) and gain real-world experience that goes far beyond the job description. In addition to hands-on work assignments, interns will join a North America-wide cohort experience, tackling a real business challenge through a collaborative capstone project—with the opportunity to present their ideas to company leaders in a final pitch competition. You'll also take the lead in weekly intern staff meetings, participate in community service, and be matched with a mentor to guide your growth. With access to Lunch & Learns, executive speakers, and one-on-one interactions with leaders, this hybrid/virtual experience is designed to help you build your network and your resume. As a Data Science Intern, you will contribute to building and deploying data science products that drive key decisions at RB Global.

Responsibilities

  • Mapping out key data sources and attributes used in products for buyers, sellers, and operations.
  • Building a framework on Google Cloud (GCP) to host and integrate real-time and batch data science solutions.
  • Supporting the development or deployment of a prototype for RB’s Asset Recommendations, using modern data science techniques to help maximize returns and Gross Transaction Value (GTV).
  • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation outlining the structure and functionality of assigned projects

 

 

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in computer science, data analytics, or information technology.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python/R & SQL.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and collaborate with team members.
  • A responsible and enthusiastic approach to developing an using technical skills to positively impact projects.
