We’re looking for an Inspection & Quality Control Coordinator In Geelong, Victoria

 

The Opportunity:


The
Inspection & Quality Control Coordinator’s responsibilities include providing final review and posting of inspection reports prepared by field inspectors and uploaded to Ritchie Bro’s Inspection Report system.

 

The Inspection & Quality Control Coordinator’ must prepare listings for public viewing with in depth quality and content accuracy.

 

Job responsibilities also include the ability to professionally communicate with field inspectors, sales staff, and alternate internal departments for effective sales management of independent listings.


In this role you’ll:

  • Evaluate the accuracy and quality of each inspection report by reviewing inspection checklist ratings, comments, photographs & videos, while assuring listings categories and descriptions are aligned to company/industry standards for effective search and customer identification.

·         Verify key equipment data (serial number / VIN, hours / kilometers, machine-level and / or emission-related certifications, etc.) for typos or other inaccuracies.

·         Ensure that “wordsmithing” of comments and other text is consistent and professional across reports.

  • Communicating field inspection quality control concerns to managers for follow up training and support.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve quality control issues.
  • Actively compare inspection checklist photos with ratings and comments for accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform Field Inspections as required.
  • Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.

Here’s what you bring:

  • Prior experience in equipment (inspections, inventory, and appraisals) and quality control, preferably in the auction or heavy equipment business is desirable but not essential.
  • Knowledge of industrial and/or agricultural equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  • Proficiency using computers, MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel), and digital cameras.
  • Top-notch written and verbal communication skills (high attention to detail is a MUST)
  • Excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.  You thrive working as part of a team, and pitch in wherever needed.
  • Strong time management skills; the ability to multi-task effectively and prioritize work is essential.
  • A strong customer service orientation.
  • Accreditations to support industry specific experience are a plus
  • 4+ years of experience in business operations or construction, transportation, agriculture, energy, or related industry environment desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • You like to work hard, and still have fun on the job.
