Description
This position is remote, with no requirement as to where candidates live in the United States with a PST work schedule.
The Bidfast Specialist is responsible for identifying and purchasing salvage on behalf of IAA. The primary emphasis is on the provision of competitive bids on salvage which also maximize IAA’s chances of selling the vehicle at auction for a profit. The Bidfast Specialist is responsible for identifying and purchasing salvage on behalf of IAA and verifying correct title documents for sale. Functions as a mentor to newer CSR’s and able to assist and resolve escalated customer service situations. Will perform management duties when the Supervisor or Manager is not available. Works closely with provider management to resolve any disputes.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience
- Working knowledge of current salvage markets
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills while collaborating with cross-functional departments.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with all assigned work.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to research with solid problem-solving skills
Responsibilities
- Counsel branch managers on the sale of Bidfast vehicles including recommended enhancements and specific sale day instructions on presentation of the vehicle. Communicate effectively with the local manager on what the ideal sales price should be. In addition, goes into ASAP and set minimum bids on each Bidfast vehicle to ensure IAA is getting the best possible price we can for each unit.
- Fulfill requests by customers for bids and reports on an as needed basis. Must also maintain detailed records of all bids offered to customers.
- Review auction sales reports to evaluate the accuracy and profitability of bids and to enhance knowledge of vehicle values.
- Work with providers to resolve any disputes involving salvage values.
- Identify and utilize alternative sources of automotive salvage to help guaranteed bid/purchase settle the claim within the limits of the policy
- Apply knowledge of organization, product services and policies to provide a variety of customer support th relying on sales data in market value and specialty sales data to provide salvage values to the Insurance Providers.
- Mentor new Bidfast (CSRs) employees. Applies knowledge of organization, product services and policies to provide guidance and new hire training.
- Actively promote Bidfast services to new and existing customers.
