Description
The Transportation Coordinator primary duties include manage outbound and inbound calls for recruitment, rate negotiation, receiving qualifying documents. Working under the supervision of the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Coordinator is a vital role in maintaining required number of Tow vendors at each branch and internal reporting.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Excellent Phone and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
- Ability to adhere to IAA Customer Care Values.
- Basic Microsoft Office familiarity especially, Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to function well as part of a team as well as complete work independently.
- Professional and clean appearance.
Preferred Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (associate or bachelor’s degrees preferred) or equivalent of 3-5 years’ work experience.
- Previous customer service or call center experience.
- Bilingual- in communication skills.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to the following):
Recruiting
- Responsible for placing outbound calls and receiving inbound calls from Tow vendors, verify qualification documents, equipment details, rate negotiation, and updating information into a transportation management system.
- Additional responsibilities include case management and lead follow ups as well as initiate and complete assigned IAA branch request.
- Coordinate tower on-site interviews create meeting itineraries and complete tower profiles and schedule performances meetings between towers/field team.
- Develop and maintain professional ongoing working relationships with Towers.
- Send deployment, release, and declination emails (letters) to towers.
- Perform special projects as requested.
Administration
- Tow Zone Rate Requests (TZRRS) and save Tow Rate History.
- Review all qualifying documents.
- Submit to Management for Approval.
- Verify proper implementation of rates in MTC.
- Draft Liability Waivers.
- Confirm Penny Test Confirmations via call/email.
- Review COI to confirm it conforms to IAA Standards.
