Job Description

The Field Inspector (Level 3)’s primary role will be to perform inspections for all multi-channel products.*Must live near the heart of LA*  Core responsibilities will be to use the inspector application to collect information and capture quality images for various equipment and inspection types. The position requires proficient equipment operator experience, comprehensive understanding of common and specialized equipment types, and the ability to professionally communicate with sales staff and external customers for effective inspection processing. Inspectors will have daily interaction with the Inspection Logistics Team to prioritize workflow. The day to day will consist of calling and scheduling with customers, commuting to various jobsites and performing thorough inspections to determine the condition of the item.  

Responsibilities

  • Use inspector application to complete inspections for various equipment & inspection product types 
  • Coordinate and/or perform tasks to prepare equipment for inspection 
  • Create strategic routes that drive overall efficiency for remote inspections 
  • Navigate unique equipment types to select proper inspection checklist that drive content accuracy 
  • Make equipment condition assessments and provide thorough information to best describe the item 
  • Action inspection type upgrades or downgrades to align with equipment condition when warranted 
  • Communicate and resolve equipment identification and readiness issues 
  • Navigate and resolve technical concerns related to inspector app and inspection content processing 
  • Organize daily tasks in a manner that drive effective sale processing for multi-channel products 
  • Responsibilities include acting as a lead on-site coordinator for large remote sales and acting as a mentor for junior-level inspectors 
  • Support auction day activities as needed 
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
  • Operate and maintain company provided vehicle 
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships as a face of the company 
  • Commute to multiple jobsites per day 
  • Practice a safe culture and empower others to do the same 

Qualifications

  • 3 -5 Years of experience in related equipment industry environment 
  • High School Degree or GED 
  • Ability to travel on short notice 
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines 
  • Attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Must adhere to ethical standards 
  • Ability to complete a background check 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license 
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs 
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather
