  • The Team Lead, Credit under the direction of the Manager, Credit. The Credit Team Lead is the primary point of contact and lender interface for Ritchie Bros. Financial Services. Supporting the RBFS Call Centre, the Credit Team Lead will evaluate credit requests through research and analysis and make recommendations in a timely fashion. The Credit Team Lead will have daily contact with other departments within the organization, as well as applicants and lender partners. The ideal candidate can build relationships with both internal and external customers, is detail oriented, and has excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Working with team members to resolve conflict and promptly responding to Customer needs
  • Handle Sales & Lender Escalation Emails
  • Foster collaborative relationships with team members, the sales team and Lender partners
  • Assist Manager in daily tasks
  • Be a credit/ Lender Preference subject matter expert to facilitate credit team questions.
  • Queue management 
  • Oversee incoming loan submissions.
  • Collaborate with Sales team to align on opportunity.
  • Analyze credit reports and assess credit history (Consumer & Commercial).
  • Collect and analyze all necessary financial information and documentation required for Ritchie Bros. Financial Services to compile and submit a credit application.
  • Reviewing applicant financial statements and analyzing key financial results, trends and ratios 
  • Coordinating joint calls with customers, lenders and the account manager if required 
  • Make outbound calls to obtain any information/documentation the lender requires.
  • Conduct follow up on active applications.
  • Maintain communication with lender and RBFS Account Manager throughout the lifecycle of application. 
  • Remain current on program products and processes. Assist with the implementation of changes and new procedures as required.
  • Maintain/exceed established standards and targets while adhering to all credit policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in team initiatives (Huddles, Committees, Special Projects, Team Events).
  • Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.  

Qualifications

  • 2 years of related banking/finance or related industry experience.
  • Strong credit evaluation and analytical skills, including familiarity with consumer credit bureau reports and analysis measures such as credit scores, etc.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload.
  • Demonstrate ability to exercise appropriate analytical and judgement skills required when dealing with moderately complex procedures and situations when dealing with customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
  • Must have flexibility and willingness to move between various shifts as needed
  • Proficiency in MS Office
