Job Description
- The Lead Generation Representative will conduct outbound consignment call campaigns in support of the company achieving and exceeding its stated sales and revenue goals. The Representative will work directly with Outside Sales to identify potential and existing areas of opportunity in the marketplace, for driving consignments and traffic to the inventories for sale on our various platforms. The main responsibility is to contact potential sellers, uncover any consignment needs, and to fill the regional pipeline with as many consignments as possible. To accomplish this, the Lead Generation Representative will work with everyone from sole proprietors to major corporations, in Canada and the United States.
Responsibilities
- Sales Driven Customer Focus –Using various systems, and sources for leads, contact customers by phone, to actively drive equipment to our live & online marketplaces. This will include leveraging the company’s customer databases, SalesForce and Mercury, as well as external sources, and potentially inbound leads. All activity should be entered within SalesForce
- Responsible for identifying appropriate equipment for consignment, the Representative will also be responsible for delivering qualified appointments to their designated Outside Sales representatives. As the territory managers travel, it is our responsibility to fill any gaps in their schedule, increasing RBA’s exposure in the industry
- This position is front line to our business and is directly responsible for the generation of new business and driving share of wallet through outbound and inbound channels while forging long-term relationships.
- Work with the various departments within RBA to execute newly developed programs
- Develop and deliver accurate campaign statistics reporting performance against established targets via SalesForce. Track and follow up with contracts consigned, or any lost business
- Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline. Typically, sales cycles are relatively short.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of B2B and/or B2C inside sales (i.e. outbound) experience, preferably in equipment rental/sales industry, with a consistent track-record of meeting/exceeding quotas
- Basic understanding of e-commerce and comfortable discussing technology with customers
- Experience with general office productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Must possess a pleasant and professional phone manner
- High sense of urgency, and outstanding time management/organizational skills
- Persuasive and motivational personality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a “virtual” corporate culture
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
- Additional languages are an asset, especially Spanish
